To achieve our negative status, we are offsetting through Clearloop and the Great Bear Forest. 

Clearloop

Clearloop is bringing renewable energy to the places where it's needed most. Innovative partnerships with companies like CIRCA allows them to service the 'dirtiest' energy grids- areas where renewable energy companies chronically avoid.

Offsets purchased through Clearloop directly fund the development of clean energy, in the region where it has the greatest impact. Their current project is being constructed in Jackson, Tennessee, where solar energy will begin to replace coal-fired power plants, and a collaboration with a local university will build the educational infrastructure for a future clean energy market in the region.

Clearloop's offsets are the best value in the CIRCA portfolio, due to their high-impact nature. Their offsets also account for CO2e, not just carbon dioxide, which is a more holistic approach to using offsets as a way of combatting climate change.

Great Bear Forest

The Great Bear Rainforest is home to the largest intact coastal temperate rainforest remaining in the world. A landmark project for balancing human well-being and ecological integrity through carbon finance, this project preserves valuable carbon stocks and reduces forestry activities by changing land-use regulation. It is the first carbon project in North America on traditional territory with unextinguished Aboriginal rights and title; funds from the sale of carbon offsets in the GBR go towards creating jobs within the First Nations Communities in the project area.
